Boys Cry
Creating imagery that stands against repeated and traditional sayings, opens up a dialogue about what is taught throughout generations. One of the ways that sayings are opposed is through imagery, specifically pictograms.
Boys are told not to cry from a very young age. Realistically, boys do cry, it's a part of life. Appropriating the popular symbol for the men’s bathroom and using the color blue and adding a tear, opposed the saying “Boys don’t cry.”
